Poetry on the Hoof: becoming a legend in your own mountain range

I am very important.
Other people think I am very important.
I am not as important as some other people
But more important than many more others.

I am important because of the things I have done,
Places I have been,
Following in the footsteps of some much more important people
Than I will ever be.

But if I play my cards right
I too shall soon be heralded as very important indeed.
By the people who matter.
Other very important people.
